2021 Goals

2021 Goals

For several years- I had always avoided setting goals for the new year or also known as the classic new years resolutions. I just had always thought of myself as already motivated and goal-driven – so why set goals just because it’s the new year. I also just thought it was “cliche” and never worked. Probably since I work at a gym on weekends and you would see once Jan 1st hit got all these new members would join as part of their news resolution to work out and by February they were gone.

However, about two years ago, a little after the new year. Actually, to be exact I’m pretty sure around the end of March I decided to write some goals for myself. (Also it doesn’t have to be the new year to set goals for yourself!) Based on some inspiration from youtube videos I saw- I broke my goals down into several categories, obviously, you can use different categories based on your goals.

Intellectual

Emotional

Physical

Artistic

Financial

When I used these categories and wrote my goals down, I was able to achieve a significant amount of them. Ever since then each year I have made goals for myself every year and made sure to write them down. I realized the whole “cliche” and thinking new years resolutions don’t work, was far from true. It really just depends on how badly you want it and also setting realistic goals you can achieve. I also set goals based on the person I want to be, the life I want to live and really to be balanced in all areas of life.

Of course this year 2021 is no different- so here are my 2021 goals.
